A unique film about class you definitely need to see to understand the hype, Bong Joon Ho's Parasite is genre-defying in the best way. Following a the relationship between a lower and upper class family, the Korean language film uses themes of wealth disparity to tell a truly horrific story. Odds are, you won't see the end coming from a mile away.

1) Parasite

It’s unbelievable that Ari Aster managed to match the greatness of his 2018 directorial debut Hereditary with Midsommar, but immediately following my first viewing of the film I knew it would be my favorite of the year. Taking the concept of a “breakup movie” to an entirely new level, the film follows college student Dani as she travels to Sweden  following a family tragedy alongside her insufferable boyfriend, Jack, and his grad school friends. I was floored from the first scene on, completely mesmerized by such extreme horrors taking place in beautiful Scandinavia. You’ve been warned.

2) Midsommar

The sequel to the first Disney fan favorite hits with a much more emotional touch than the first. Frozen 2 will grip your heart and remind you of your own need for boldness and freedom.

3) Frozen 2

This final chapter of The Avengers does not disappoint as it pulls together fates of beloved characters from films of the past 10 years. Filled with intimate and action-packed moments, Avengers: Endgame leaves you feeling too many emotions to process, including one of sadness that the series has finally come to an end. Do yourself a favor, and if you haven’t invested time in all the movies from the MCU, set aside time and watch them all. Pick a favorite Avenger and follow them to the very end.

5) Movie Five

This next film in the Spider-Man series with Tom Holland is both amusing and intense as Peter Parker battles with a budding romance and a super-villain. Spider-Man: From From Home is a great follow up to Avengers: Infinity War and definitely worth your time if you have it.

6) Spider-Man: Far From Home
